Good Day! I’m Ayla!

Thanks for coming to my site! Living a healthy and happy lifestyle is about finding balance between eating to fuel our bodies and to uphold our traditions. My passion is helping others achieve this balance!

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and Founder of Island RDN.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from the University of Georgia and a Master of Health Science in Nutrition from Georgia State University.

I completed my Dietetic Internship at Yale-New Haven Hospital in CT.

This is what my 2 year old chose for breakfast. We are in the stage of promoting independence and letting him make his own choices (although we might guide them a bit). I start by offering two starch option, waffle or crackers, then he got his choice of protein, peanut butter or cheese, and finally he chose his fruit. And I always serve a glass of milk.

Stereotypical low carb dinner 🍗🥦… but seriously I’m not eating this because it’s low carb, I’m eating it because it taste good and it’s easy. I love to grab a rotisserie chicken when I’m shopping on a week night to save time. I found some good looking broccoli today so I roasted some up to go with it for a perfectly dip-able meal! #chickfilasauceforthewin
