Very BLUEberry Oats

Despite the recent controversy over the presence of the pesticide, Round-up, Oatmeal can still be a great option for breakfast. It is a whole grain and high in soluble fiber – which is linked to lowering LDL cholesterol. Oats are also affordable, naturally low in sodium, and easy to prepare. Try this recipe for a fast and berri-licious breakfast!

Ingredients

1 cup milk
1/2 cup instant oatmeal
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp honey

Directions

Bring milk to boil on stove top. Add oatmeal. Boil for one minute. Cover, reduce heat, add remaining ingredients and simmer till desired consistency!
