Apple Pie Oatmeal

In honor of National Apple Pie Day I am sharing one of my favorite oatmeal recipes. Using no-sugar added apple sauce in oats is a great way to add sweetness and flavor without using a ton of sugar. This recipe is the perfect way to satisfy that apple pie craving without all the extra sugar!

Fun Fact! The apple is a versatile fruit that can be used in both sweet and savory recipes. It is rich in carbohydrates for energy, fiber for gut health, and vitamin C, which is an anti-oxidant.

  • 1/2 cup Uncooked Oats
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Apple Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Soymilk, (sub water or other milk substitute)
  • 1 tbsp Chia Seed
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Brown Sugar

Mix together ingredients. Microwave on high for 1-2 minutes until desired consistency. Let cool for 2-3 minutes.
